  • Can I make changes?
Yes. One of the beauties of pantomime is its ability to incorporate local and topical references. These always go down very well with the audience and are best done at the time and by the local group performing the panto. So, go for it! We supply the master copy in editable, Word format so that this is easy to do. Different venues create different staging challenges, and these are often best addressed by a tweak to the script. Similarly, every group sometimes needs to make changes to accommodate specific group members, provide opportunities for children, etc etc…
  • Can I make cuts?
    Yes. You can make cuts.
  • Are significant changes permitted?
Yes, larger changes are permitted, but please let us know what you have in mind. We generally ask that credits include "adapted by" to indicate significant changes from the original pantomime script.
  • Do I need a master copy?
Yes, all productions require a master copy. The master copy not only enables editing, but grants permission to run off as many copies as you need for the production.
  • Can I print off the Reading Copy?
Yes, but only for reading purposes and for circulating within the group whilst choosing your panto script.
  • Can I postpone the production?
Yes, you can postpone the production indefinitely without additional charge.
  • Do I need a Video Licence?
Yes, if you intend to record the production in any way you must obtain a Video Licence.
  • Can I post the script online?
No. Please do not make the script available online. We need to protect our copyrights and our panto scripts should only be available from Ben Crocker Pantomimes.
  • How do I obtain a Licence?
Please go to our Fees/Licences page and fill out the short form to request a Licence.
  • Do I need to pay for a Licence if the performances are for charity, or no admission fee is being charged?
Yes. You need to apply and pay for a licence for all performances.
  • Does my Licence need to include the Dress Rehearsal?
Not usually. However, if members of the general public are present then you will need to include Dress Rehearsal as a performance.
  • Are your scripts suitable for children?
Yes. Our scripts are suitable for all ages between 3 – 103 and beyond...
  • What is the running time of your scripts?
Running times for pantomime scripts are necessarily very approximate, but with a full complement of songs, a good estimate would be 2hrs plus interval.
  • Why should I choose one of your scripts?
Because they really are very, very good!
